Gaziantep University Faculty of Law, Department of Public Law, Department of Administrative Law aims to provide all aspects of the basic subjects of administrative law within the scope of the relevant legislation and literature in undergraduate education. It is aimed to provide the students who will graduate from Gaziantep University Faculty of Law with complete information on administrative law that will enable them to achieve superior success in professional exams such as judgeship, district governorship, inspectorate and specialisation and that they will need during the execution of the professions they will prefer. In this context, the following topics will be examined within the scope of administrative law course:

 

  1. The concept of administration, the function of administration, the distinction between private administration and public administration and the duties of public administration,

  2. Definition, characteristics, sources and application area of administrative law,

  3. Principles dominating the Turkish administrative organisation and Turkish administrative organisation,

  4. The concept of administrative action, its characteristics and types,

  5. The concept of administrative contract, types, execution and termination of administrative contracts,

  6. The concept of public service, principles and procedures of public services,

  7. The concept of public order and law enforcement services,

  8. The concept of public servant, types and legal status of civil servants,

  9. Assets of the administration and methods of acquiring assets,

  10. The concept, conditions and types of administrative responsibility,

  11. Supervision of the administration through non-judicial means,

  12. Judicial control of the administration (administrative judiciary organisation and jurisdiction, administrative trial procedure, types of administrative lawsuits and legal remedies). In addition, for students who are interested in administrative law and want to be better equipped in this field, elective courses such as Local Government Law, Cultural and Natural Heritage Protection Law, Civil Servant Law are offered.

 

At the postgraduate level, it is aimed to provide specialised education on certain subjects related to administrative law to those who have successfully completed their law education and want to pursue an academic career or who want to specialise in certain areas while working in judicial and administrative positions. In this context, in postgraduate education programmes;

 

  1. Current Problems of Local Governments,

  2. Evidence and Proof in Administrative Trial Law,

  3. European Union and Turkish Administrative Law,

  4. Administrative Sanctions Law,

  5. Law Enforcement Services Law,

  6. Disciplinary Law,

  7. Responsibility of the Administration,

  8. Administrative Contracts Law will be included in the courses.

 

It is also aimed to develop projects and work with governorships, municipalities, district governorships and other public or private institutions and organisations at provincial, regional, national and international level.
