Gaziantep University Institute of Social Sciences Application and Admission Procedures for Graduate Programs

 

Application Times: Applications to Graduate School programs can be made at any time. The application deadlines for each semester and the exam and evaluation schedule are usually announced in the announcements published in the second half of June and December.

 

Application Requirements: Please follow the application announcements for the general conditions required for applications. The Regulation on Graduate Education and Training of the Council of Higher Education, which is available on the Graduate School website, can be examined to get an idea of the necessary conditions.

 

Application Procedures: Application procedures are carried out over the internet. Candidates are required to submit the required documents via e-mail, postal mail or by hand to the relevant institute departments after filling in the application form given on the institute page online. The applications of the candidates who do not submit their documents are considered invalid.

 

Required Documents: The documents requested from the candidates during the application process are specified in the announcement and the following documents are generally requested. Photocopies of these documents can be submitted during the application process, but the original documents are required during registration.

 

  • Application Form.

  • Diploma or exit certificate (for students who have not yet graduated, a document showing that they will graduate at the end of the semester they apply).

  • Transcript (Documents showing all courses and grades taken from the higher education institution from which the student graduated/will graduate).

  • ALES result certificate.

  • Foreign language proficiency certificate specified in the application requirements for the programs.

 

Examination and Evaluation: The evaluation of the applications is based on 40% of the Graduation Grade, 50% of the ALES Grade and 10% of the Interview grade at the time and place specified in the announcement, and the applicants are placed according to the announced quotas. The results are announced on the web pages of the institutes and/or departments.

 

Admission and Registration: Candidates who are accepted to the programs are registered at the Registrar's Office on the dates specified in the academic calendar.

 

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FROM DOCTORATE, MASTER'S DEGREE WITH AND WITHOUT THESIS AND DISTANCE EDUCATION MASTER'S DEGREE WITHOUT THESIS STUDENTS FOR FINAL ENROLLMENT

 

  1. Original and photocopy of undergraduate diploma or exit certificate

  2. Original and photocopy of approved transcript showing undergraduate grade point average

  3. Document showing foreign language proficiency (for Thesis, PhD and English Language Teaching program)

  4. Photograph (5 pieces)

  5. Military service certificate for male candidates

  6. Photocopy of identity card

  7. Bank receipt showing that the tuition fee has been paid. (For Non-Thesis Master's / Distance Non-Thesis Master's Programs.)
