Erasmus+ and its Purpose

(Erasmus+ in the Higher Education Field)

The grant support provided in the field of higher education within the scope of the Lifelong Learning Program conducted by the European Union Commission between 2007-2013 and ended in 2014 will continue under the Erasmus+ Program between 2021-2027.

Specifically for the field of higher education, it aims to increase the quality in higher education and to strengthen the cooperation of higher education institutions with each other and the business world.

The target audience of Erasmus+ Erasmus activities, in the most general sense, includes institutions and organizations that are parties to higher education, as well as the employees and students of these institutions. Applications can only be made by institutions and organizations to our Presidency or the Educational, Visual and Cultural Executive Agency, which is the relevant unit of the EU Commission, depending on the type of project. Individual applications are not accepted.

In addition, it also encourages the increase of relations and cooperation between higher education institutions and business circles in order to develop the higher education system in accordance with the needs of the business world and to increase the employability of university graduates in the business world.
