Within the Department of Islamic Law, which includes main topics such as Islamic Legal Methodology, Islamic Legal Texts, Islamic Economics, Contemporary Fiqh Problems, the provisions of the Islamic religion regarding individual and social life, the formation and implementation processes of these provisions, the philosophical foundations of Islamic law and the effects of Islamic law on contemporary legal systems are examined.
In particular, this department, which examines the legal system that largely determined the Turkish legal system before the Tanzimat period, is especially benefited from the Turkish Legal History course given at the undergraduate level.
